MS Sucks, but it's not the end of the world!

On a trip to the Bloomsburg Fair this past year in PA, I was speaking with a gentleman who was a veteran of Vietnam and he and I were discussing a mirage of different items when he asked me why I was walking with a cane!  I told him I had Multiple Sclerosis, which was diagnosed in 2003.  He said that he was very sorry to hear that and that he knew a man who died from MS in the past year - just what I wanted to hear!!!

I told him that my MS was allowed by God for a reason and that reason was because of my youngest daughter, Amanda, who suffers from anorexia and her father and I were taking care of her 24 hours a day.  When I was diagnosed, I told her that I could not take care of her as much anymore, but I had to take care of myself.  From that moment on there were a lot of tears and soul searching and now Amanda is a healthy 28 year old with two beautiful daughters!!  That was His reason for my MS.

Now he can take it away --  not going to happen unless a cure is found or until I reach my Heavenly Home!  I win either way -  It is a win-win situation.

This gentleman at the fair said that I should write a book because I had such a positive attitude about my MS.  I have never written a book, so I thought a blog was in order.  In this blog I will try to tell everyone the positives and the negatives of MS and how we can all have a positive attitude about this devastating disease.

Why complain - who's really going to listen to our probems???  Stay tuned and let me know if this interests you!!  God Bless!
